Learn more about the challenges, technology transfer opportunities, as well as the future and market potentials of Near-Earth space. Get in touch with researchers and representatives from state politics and business in an informal atmosphere and learn more about the state of research and emerging technologies.
Industry Meets SFB ATLAS 2026 will take place at the Raumfahrtzentrum Baden-Württemberg (RBZW) on the Vaihingen campus of the University of Stuttgart and will begin on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 with an evening networking event. At the main event on Thursday, January 15, 2026, we invite you to a series of informative keynote speeches from research, industry and agencies as well as to open discussion rounds and additional opportunities for networking.
Participation in this event is generally open to all interested parties, but requires a confirmed registration. Due to the limitations of the venue, priority will be given to those interested parties whose registration follows a personal invitation. The event is primarily aimed at representatives of industry based in Baden-Württemberg and will be held in German.

2. Beschreibung und Kategorien von Daten
Das Formular sendet eine E-Mail an info@atlas.uni-stuttgart.de mit den eingegeben Daten. Darüber hinaus werden auch Datum und Uhrzeit des Absenders gespeichert.
Gespeichert werden die somit erfassten Daten in einer lokalen Datenbank durch die Abteilung Institut für Raumfahrtsysteme bzw. der Geschäftsstelle des Sonderforschungsbereich 1667 "ATLAS" der Universität Stuttgart.
Die erfassten Daten werden für die Planung, Durchführung und Nachbereitung der Veranstaltung "Industry Meets SFB ATLAS", geplant am 14. und 15. January 2026 im Raumfahrtzentrum Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart, verwendet.
Die Pflichtfelder des Formulars sind E-Mail-Adresse, Nachname, Vorname(n), Firma/Einrichtung, Einladungsstatus, Teilnahmeabsicht, sowie Zustimmung zur Kontaktaufnahme zwecks Informationsübermittlung zur Veranstaltung. Diese müssen ausgefüllt werden, damit die Daten abgeschickt werden können.
Für das Formular nicht erforderliche Daten sind Anrede, Abteilung/Institut, Rolle, weitere Hinweise an die Organisatoren, sowie Abonnement des ATLAS-Newsletters. Diese Angaben sind freiwillig.
3. Zweck
Auf Grundlage der erhobenenen personenbezogenen Daten erfolgt eine Kontaktaufnahme zum Absender zwecks Übermittlung von Informationen zur geplanten Veranstaltung "Industry Meets SFB ATLAS".
Weiterhin wird eine Teilnehmerliste erstellt, anhand derer im Zuge eines erfolgreichen Abgleichs vor Ort Zugang zu den Veranstaltungsräumlichkeiten und -leistungen gewährt wird. Der Teilnehmerin bzw. dem Teilnehmer wird ein auf Grundlage der übermittelten Daten erstelltes persönliches Namensschild ausgehändigt, welches als Nachweis für die Zugangsberechtigung über die weitere Dauer der Veranstaltung dient.
4. Rechtsgrundlage
Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. e DS-GVO in Verbindung mit Art. 6 Abs. 3 DS-GVO in Verbindung mit § 4 Landesdatenschutzgesetz.
5. Empfänger
Empfänger der mittels Formular übertragenen personenbezogenen Daten sind 1) in den Bereichen Institut für Raumfahrtsysteme bzw. der Geschäftsstelle des Sonderforschungsbereich 1667 "ATLAS" tätige Beschäftigte der Universität Stuttgart. Eine Weitergabe dieser Daten erfolgt ausschließlich zum Zweck der gemeinschaftlichen Organisation dieser Veranstaltung an die Geschäftsstellen 2) des Forum Luft- und Raumfahrt Baden-Württemberg e.V. (LR BW) sowie 3) des ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA-BIC) der Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Reutlingen.
Aus haushaltsrechtlichen Gründen erhält für die Abrechnung des Caterings die Haushaltsabteilung der Universität Stuttgart eine Teilnehmerliste.
6. Dauer der Speicherung
Die mittels des Formulars übertragenen Daten werden in eine lokale Datenbank übertragen und für 10 Jahre gespeichert.
Die Teilnehmerliste bei der Haushaltsabteilung wird mit den Haushaltsunterlagen für 10 Jahre gespeichert.
7. Folgen der Nichtangabe, Widerspruchs- bzw. Beseitigungsmöglichkeit
Ohne Pflichtangaben kann eine Anmeldung und damit ggfs. eine Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung nicht durchgeführt werden.
Auskunft über und/oder eine Löschung der übermittelten Daten kann jederzeit bei der Geschäftsstelle des Sonderforschungsbereich 1667 "ATLAS" der Universität Stuttgart beantragt werden. Erfolgt eine Beantragung der Löschung der übermittelten Daten vor Beginn der Veranstaltung, erlischt jedoch jeglicher Anspruch auf Teilnahme an selbiger.

2 Description and categories of data

The data collected in this manner is stored in a local database at the Institute of Space Systems, specifically the offices of the Collaborative Research Center 1667 "ATLAS" at the University of Stuttgart.
The data will be used for the planning, implementation and follow-up of the event "Industry Meets SFB ATLAS", to be held during 14 and 15 January in the Space Centre Baden-Württemberg (RZBW) in Stuttgart, Germany.
The mandatory fields of the form are e-mail address, last name, first name(s), institution, invitation status, intention to attend either part of the event, and consent to receiving the invoice and additional information regarding the event via e-mail. These must be completed in order for the data to be submitted.
Data not required for the form are title, department, role, comments to the organisers, and subscription to the ATLAS Newsletter. This information may be disclosed voluntarily.
3. Purpose
The personal data collected will be used to provide the sender with additional information related to the event "Industry Meets SFB ATLAS".
Furthermore, a list of participants will be created, on the basis of which access to the event premises and services will be granted following a successful on-site check-in. The participant will be issued with a personal name badge based on the data provided, which serves as proof of access authorization for the remainder of the event.
4 Legal basis
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e DS-GVO in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 3 DS-GVO in conjunction with § 4 Landesdatenschutzgesetz.
5. Recipient
Recipients of the personal data transmitted via the registration form are employees of the University of Stuttgart working at the Institute of Space Systems, specifically the office of the Collaborative Research Center 1667 "ATLAS". This data will be forwarded, exclusively for the purpose of co-organising this event, to the management offices of 2) the Forum Luft- und Raumfahrt Baden-Württemberg e.V. (LR BW) as well as 3) the ESA Business Incubation Centre (ESA-BIC) of the Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Reutlingen.
For budgetary reasons, the budget department of the University of Stuttgart receives a list of participants for the billing of the catering.
6 Duration of storage
The data transmitted via this form will be transferred to a local database and stored for 10 years.
The list of participants in the budget department is stored with the budget documents for 10 years.
7 Consequences of non-disclosure, possibility of objection or removal
All mandatory information is required for attendance or expression of interest in attending this event. Without this mandatory information, the submitted abstract cannot be reviewed nor accepted for the planned Symposium.
Information about and/or deletion of the submitted data can be requested at any time from the office of the Collaborative Research Center 1667 "ATLAS" at the University of Stuttgart. Please not that if deletion of the submitted data is requested prior to the start of the event, any rights to participate therein shall lapse.

Frequently Asked Questions
Participation at the Industry Meets SFB ATLAS event is free of charge for confirmed registered participants. A confirmed registration is required to participate.
Interested parties who have not received an invitation are placed on a waiting list if they register by 15 December 2025 using the registration form. Feedback and/or confirmation of the registration will be given by 19 December 2025.
Please understand that participation in the event without registration until 15.12.2025 and without subsequent confirmation by the organizing team cannot be guaranteed, as the possible number of participants is strictly limited due to spatial restrictions.
