On 04 November 2025, representatives from regional research, industry, and politics gathered at the top of Stuttgart's landmark TV tower (SWR Fernsehturm) to discuss current developments in and the market potentials of VLEO.
Prof. Fasoulas, Prof. Klinkner and Dr. Pagan represented the CRC 1667 ATLAS, contributing expert insights through informative presentations and a panel discussion. Further experts from the ATLAS team were also present, engaging in informative discussions with the participants.
The event offered a valuable opportunity to increase awareness of the commercial potentials of Very Low Earth Orbit and of the related research activities of the CRC ATLAS and other institutions and companies. As VLEO becomes increasingly relevant for future infrastructure, the focus on research into its potential applications continues to grow.
This event was organized by the ESA-BIC Baden-Württemberg of the IHK Reutlingen in collaboration with the CRC 1667 ATLAS.
